In the Chess Olympiad more than 1500 participants from 150 countries will fight for victory alongside chess grandmasters and likely to be world champions in the International Congress Center Dresden, situated directly on the Elbe river. The two weeks lasting sporting event with worldwide media coverage is proudly patronaged by German Federal President Horst Köhler.
