Already 75 nations registered fort he Chess Olympiad

The Chess Olympiad Dresden 2008 is continuously met with great approval in all parts of the world. As many as 75 nations have yet registered to participate in the worldwide largest and most important chess event.

Most registrations (27) are from Europe. 18 have so far been noted from the Americas, 17 from Asia and 12 from Africa. Further confirmations are on hand from for instance: Argentina, the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Bermuda, Botswana, Brunei Darussalam, El Salvador, Faroer Islands, Hongkong, Indonesia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Somalia and even the newly founded Maldivian chess federation has pre-registered.
In total, the organizers expect the arrival of more than 1000 chess players of 150 open and 120 women’s teams.
